Privacy Policy for ChurchCenter Texter

Effective Date: January 29, 2026

At RACREATIVE LLC, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ChurchCenter Texter (the "App"), available on macOS and/or iOS, handles personal information. The App uses federated login to connect to Planning Center Online ("PCO") to access contacts information that you are authorized to view via your PCO credentials. This information is then used to facilitate interactions with Apple's Messages app on the same device. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data ourselves. This policy complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and applicable privacy laws.

Information We Access

The App does not collect personal information directly from you. However, to provide its core functionality, the App uses federated login (such as OAuth) with PCO to authenticate your account. Upon successful login, the App requests permission to access contacts information from PCO, limited to data you already have access to based on your PCO permissions and roles.

This access is limited to:

- Contacts information (such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses) provided by PCO.

This access occurs only with your explicit consent, including:

- Logging in with your PCO credentials.

- Granting the App permission to access contacts via the device's permission prompts.

We do not access or use any other types of data, such as location, device identifiers, usage data, or payment information.

Example: If you choose to use the App to select a contact for messaging, PCO temporarily provides the necessary contact details based on your authorized access, which the App passes directly to Apple's Messages app without any intermediary processing or retention by us.

We respect your device's permission settings. You can revoke access to contacts at any time through your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Contacts on iOS/macOS). If permission is not granted, the App's functionality may be limited, but alternative options (if available) will be provided where possible.

In compliance with Apple's guidelines, we do not:

- Build or maintain any contact databases.

- Contact individuals from your contacts except at your explicit, individualized initiative (e.g., you manually select a contact to message).

- Include "Select All" options or default selections for contacts.

How We Use the Information

Any contacts information accessed via PCO is used solely for the purpose of passing it to Apple's Messages app on your device to enable messaging features. This use is temporary, in real-time, and limited to the specific task you initiate.

We do not use the information for any other purposes, such as marketing, analytics, advertising, or improving the App. No data is processed, analyzed, or repurposed.

Sharing of Information

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any personal information with third parties, except as inherently required for PCO to provide contacts access during the App's operation. PCO operates independently, and we have no control over or access to any data it processes. We recommend reviewing PCO's privacy policy at https://www.planningcenter.com/privacy for details on their practices.

No data is transmitted to our servers or any other entities. All handling occurs locally on your device or directly between PCO and Apple's Messages app.

Data Storage and Security

We do not store any personal information, including contacts data. All access and use are transient and occur only during the active session. Once the task is complete (e.g., passing information to Messages), no data is retained by the App.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access during the brief period of data handling, in line with Apple's security requirements. However, since no data is stored, there are no retention or deletion policies beyond immediate session clearance.

If you wish to manage or delete contacts data, you can do so through your device's native contacts management tools or your PCO account.

User Responsibilities

By using the App and logging in with your PCO credentials, you confirm and represent that:

- You have the necessary permissions, authorizations, and rights from your organization, church, or relevant parties to access the contacts information through PCO.

- Your access and use of the data complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and PCO's terms of service and privacy policy.

- You will not use the App to access, view, or share data in a manner that violates any individual's privacy rights or any contractual obligations.

If you do not have such authorization, you must not use the App to access PCO data. We are not responsible for any unauthorized access or misuse of data resulting from your failure to comply with these responsibilities.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store personal data, many traditional data rights (e.g., access, rectification, erasure) do not apply directly to us. However, you have full control over permissions:

- Consent Withdrawal: Revoke contacts access anytime via device settings or by logging out of PCO in the App.

- Opt-Out: No marketing or tracking occurs, so no opt-out is needed.

- Complaints: If you have concerns, contact us as detailed below.

For users in regions like the EU (under GDPR) or California (under CCPA), we confirm no personal data processing occurs that triggers additional obligations. If applicable laws require, you can request confirmation of non-collection.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Planning Center Online (PCO) for federated login and contacts access. This service may have its own data practices. We select services that comply with privacy standards, but we are not responsible for their policies. Please refer to PCO's privacy policy at https://www.planningcenter.com/privacy.

The App also interacts with Apple's Messages app, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy (available at apple.com/legal/privacy).

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or equivalent age under applicable laws). We do not knowingly access data from minors. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Updates will be posted in the App and on our website (if applicable), with the effective date revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be notified via in-app alerts.
